Our Garagistic Carbon Fiber Chassis Shifter offers incredibly tactile and confidence-inspiring shifting performance and looks great while doing it! If your goal is to eliminate OEM shifter slop while improving the overall shifter feel of your BMW, this is the shifter for you. With multiple options for shifter rod length, shift knob, and shift knob emblems, you can completely customize your shifter to achieve a look of perfection.

It's a really good idea to change your transmission fluid while you are down there. 

The Garagistic Solid Short Shifter requires no permanent modification for installation and can be used with both swapped and stock drivetrain cars. Our Carbon Fiber Chassis Shifter provides a very distinct feeling each and every time you enter or exit a gear, in turn giving you the confidence to push harder and harder which ultimately aids in driver confidence, especially when in a racing environment!

• Bushings: Chassis shifters must be run with poly or solid upgraded transmission bushings.

FITMENT

Will this shifter fit my car?

• Fits most BMW chassis such as E30, E36, E46, Z3, E39, E34, and many more
• Not compatible with iX AWD E30
• Short option not recommended for E36 and up chassis
• Will fit on round transmission tunnel holes between 3 1/4" - 3 3/8" diameter

Fitment Notes

• In general, the longer the rod, the longer the shift throw will be, and the less notchy it will feel. While a shorter rod produces a shorter and more notchy shift throw and feel.
• It is important to note that due to the varying heights of center consoles in different chassis, certain size rods may be too small/large for you.
• For example, the E30 center console is shorter than the E36 center console so a short height shifter rod will be too short in an E36.
• Please Note: Some OEM BMW shifter rods have a very slight tilt, therefore some shifters will also have a slight tilt once installed.
